Description

The first year we moved to Nashville, Indiana, one of their most famous business went up in flames. We were leaving some new friends house to discover the road blocked from the conflagration. Going nowhere for a while, I walked into camera range to photograph the Nashville Opry fire. The Opry was host to many country bands traveling through the mid west, no more. The land has been for sale since 2009, with no one willing to rebuild. Many of the nearby hotels and motels have suffered greatly from loss of business.

I went the next day to the weekly local newspaper to offer the images, but they chose to show the damage from the next day, instead of the drama of the fire I offered. Likely a decision to save paying me for the photo.

If you notice the water cannon's effect on the right edge, you might better understand how it all was destroyed.
