Description

I pulled off the highway exit, then stopped to take this fog picture of the lone tree in the field. A large tall pole light illuminated the surroundings. There was no way to ignore the light, so I let it work with the image, as if an alien ship was landing in Grovers Mills, New Jersey. Halloween, was only a few days later, and politically the land was ripe for invasion.

I tried various exposures for this night image, shooting fast ISO (1600), wide open at F1.7, for a fairly long exposure to bring out the mist in the field. If you look off to the left side you can see the highway continue on, traffic still rolling.
