Description It takes a special feeling to stop in the snow then get out into the cold to take a photo.

I was cruising from one place to another, driving on auto pilot, secure traction optional, when the threatening sky framed this hidden home on the hill.

As I was in the country, traffic was non existent, so I pull over to frame the image carefully, and yet I still took 4 images to obtain
the best quality, varying the exposures by half stops, under to over by two stops

Taken with my Leica M2 with 35mm F3.5 Summaron, on Kodak Plus X panchromatic 135mm film, in the early 1970s.

Feel free to download, just give me photo credit.

A wonderful scene. The black and white makes everything so stark and bleak. The house on the hill (I believe that was a horror movie) stands out even more because of the starkness. Alone in house, on a snow covered road. This is why I go to Florida in the  winter.

Another great shot. Thanks for sharing with us.
