Description
What makes this special is the panoramic quality of the image. Taken with a Noblex 35mm double negative ultra wide camera.
With all wide angle lenses, the closer objects appear large while the more distant appear smaller. The wider the lens, the more extreme the size distortion. This camera uses a 130 degree wide ultra lens, but has no distortion. The lens revolves as it takes the image, with it's focal point on a curved film plane. Using a double size 35mm negative it has twice the width of a typical negative to enable the camera to produce this peripheral vision image, but without distortion. Being level is critical, and the camera has a bubble level to make exact alignment on a tripod.
