Description
Here is my latest work, my version of the SF15-T. I based it on my previous F138 of 2013. The red is much deeper and darker and fades to black around the rear, nose and lower sidepod. I again removed the Scuderia Ferrari Logo and instead incorporated the white slashes and flicks around the cockpit and engine cover. The white also extends down the nose and along bottom of the sidepod and monocoque this time, inspired by the 312t3. The number is removed from the cramped rear wing and placed on the back of the engine cover, again like the 312t3. The sponsors are arranged much like the current SF15, however some have been moved to create more space around the Ferrari Logo and along the sidepod. The UPS logo is on the sidepod turning vane and the Alfa Romeo logo is placed directly underneath the Prancing Horse at the top of the engine cover. Finally black wings front and rear complete the design.Related content

Yeah their logo will be staying as long as Marlboro pays. Shame they could've done a much better job of the car.

Thanks very much, think the white works well around the cockpit and down the nose. It was hard getting the balance tight with the white on the engine cover.

How long does it take you normally to create one of these designs?

This one took me 3 days on and off to create. Some are faster than others, this one was quite quick as I had a basis from my previous Ferrari to work from. The Williams took over a week to do before I was happy with it.

I've got a nascar template on the go. Working on a Sauber and Lotus car too. Will just see which one gets finished first!!

The Sauber is dull and looks flat, better shades could have lifted the design. Will work on my design for it.

That team has really lost its way. As an artist, which liveries do you prefer?

None of the liveries are that imaginative which is a shame. Its mostly due to sponsorship issues. Teams like McLaren and Sauber still need to advertise space for new sponsors so keep their liveries fairly simple and bland. I like the Red Bull camo livery. Its nice to see them do something different and hope their race livery is equally exciting. Not a fan of the new Force India. Not sure where the silver and black came from. Think they would be better all green.
I'm enjoying all the Nascar liveries, I like how the sponsors can dictate the entire look of the car and teams can run one-off designs for certain races.

I love the KFC car. Its simple and effective and it also makes me laugh a little. I hope it races door to door with Krispy Kreme car then I die happy!
As a guy who does sponsorship on race cars I don't understand the logic of not branding a car properly. McLaren for example, has a history with orange and its loved by the fans. If I was them I'd campaign hard on that fact, they kind of are with the "back to the future" thing their currently doing. Sponsor less cars don't attract sponsors. Sponsored cars do!!!!

I completely agree with the McLaren issue. Everyone loves their orange livery but they refuse to do an Formula 1 version. Instead they have this weird "West" style livery that appears to be missing red paintwork and more importantly some sponsors. It just looks old now and instead they could do a really nice orange livery like they have done for their GT3 and P1 GTR cars.
I'm actually liking the Lotus F1 livery. Saw the pictures from Barcelona and they have added extra gold around the airbox and it is now better balanced. They should get rid of the red wings now.
Nascar liveries are definitely more exciting and like each driver has 4-5 different liveries for the year and the sponsors completely take over the car.

Have you seen how Sauber is updating their livery with some extra yellow "flair" on the nose? They put out a big push on social media like it was a big story. I love Sauber. F1 needs them but this was flipping pathetic!

Yeah I have seen the Sauber. Its a shame they didn't do more with the yellow. The nose stripes look very last minute and don't really fit with the rest of the car. Maybe they will have another go and integrate the yellow better with the nose and rest of the car.

Hopefully. With the amount of money and talent in Formula 1 I'm amazed at times how crass and lazy teams get with their livery design work. I'd be upset if my team turned out something as bland and uninspired as what Sauber have done but its better than the grey monstrosity of last year.
