Description
Warhammer 40K fanart of a Devastator Centurion Sergeant from the infamous Astral Claws Chapter armed with a Grav-Cannon and a Grav-Amplifier as well as having an attached Omni-scope.
Character Biography:
Sergeant Telemicus was a Veteran warrior and squad leader of a Centurion Devastator Squad of the Astral Claws Chapter during the Badab War. As the deeds and honours of the Astral Claws were being expunged by the Imperium following their betrayal and supposed destruction, some fragmented records suggest that Sergeant Telemicus served the Chapter for 375 years and he was described by his peers as a squad leader who leads his brothers with discipline, determination, and skill. Also, he was present during the Chapter's battle against the Orks within the Maelstrom but when his Chapter Master Rovik Blake fell in battle against the Ork Warboss Vorg Manburna, Telemicus and the other survivors of the battle retreated to Badab System. Around 715.M41, Sergeant Telemicus supported the appointment of Captain Lufgt Huron as the new Chapter Master of the Astral Claws.
As soon as Lufgt Huron began to re-organize the Chapter's strategic deployments and expanding its fleet after it was nearly depleted, Sergeant Telemicus was given by Chapter Master Huron with the honour to become a new Captain of the 3rd Company but the sergeant declined the offer. Understanding his refusal, Huron instead gifted him a Centurion Warsuit, one of the rarest equipment used by the Adeptus Astartes, and was assigned to become as squad leader of the 3rd Company's Centurion Devastator Squad in which Telemicus accepted the offer.
By the time the Badab War broke out, Sergeant Telemicus led his Centurion Devastator Squad in the Battle of Vyaniah where he fought against the cold and brutal Minotaurs Chapter. During the battle, he managed to kill 6 Terminator Veterans and 2 squads of Tactical Marines with his Grav-Cannon but this would change as he was forced to retreat as the Astral Claws were heavily outmatched by the might of the Minotaurs thus leaving Vyaniah fall to the hands of the Loyalist forces.
Soon afterwards, as the conflict turned the tables for the Loyalists during the final days of the Badab War, the Astral Claws and their Tyrant's Legion Human Auxilia having no allies left, they made preparations for their final stand against the Loyalist forces who attempted to assail Badab Primaris. Following the Loyalists assault on Badab Primaris' hive cities and turning their eyes on the 'Palace of Thorns', Sergeant Telemicus led his Centurion Devastators into battle by forming a defensive line. Though he killed numerous Inquisitorial Stormtroopers and Star Phantoms Astartes with his might, he would soon be slain in battle after his Centurion Warsuit sustained heavy damage and gaining numerous wounds.
As depicted above, Sergeant Telemicus pilots a Centurion warsuit which allows him to be immune to all but the most powerful of weapons during the field of battle and this warsuit was considered a rare Astartes equipment. In addition, his warsuit was configured for long-range fire support and it was outfitted with a Grav-Cannon on the right arm and a Grav-Amplifier on the left arm for enhancement of his Grav-Cannon as well as Missile Launchers on the chest. Aside from these, his warsuit has an attached Omni-scope to provide more accurately direct their fearsome ranged firepower.
