The Norwegian couldn't lift a finger. It was one of those devastating moments at the end of a long, grueling fight when the body was no longer willing to put itself at risk, no matter how many times Annette would have thrown herself into the fire. She had lost before. Gracefully. Proudly. But that was just it. Those were 'fights.' 'Matches.' 'Battles.'

This was nothing of the sort. These past five minutes were a massacre.

Though she may have been hanging on the edge of unconsciousness, no one was more stunned than the audience around them. Not once in their collective memory could they recall the Annette Weber - the Northern Star, the Moonlit Beauty of Oslo - brought so low to the ground. Her strands of periwinkle were a mess across her forehead. Sweat scattered the ground and drew from every pore of her limp frame. The heat of the hazy stagelights overhead sapped seemed to sap whatever reserves of energy were left that Ogre hadn't already beaten out of her.

The broken body of the beautiful martial artist was left on display; a painful, aching testament to the futility of years of technique in the face of overwhelming power. Now she was pinned, unmoving even an inch beneath the monster's incredible might.

Her eyelids shut tightly. If there was any mercy at all, it was that she did not have to hear the end of the three-count as her mind finally blanked.

'How...' She thought. '...how did this...happen?'

I was so glad to have another opportunity to collaborate with my friend Faeron ! Pro-wrestling is never something I really dipped into, but I can't lie that reading through some of Ogre's history made me really tempted to get into it.
