So, obviously this comparison has been made before, but I decided crossover Zutara with Romeo and Juliet. This is a scene from the 1996 Baz Luhrmann version.If any of you have seen my avatar before, this might look familiar to you. I started working on this piece a long time ago, but gave up on it and just decided to use the completed part as my avatar. But when Zutara Week came around, I thought this would be the perfect opportunity to finish it.

I've seen this artwork before I've seen the movie, so when my class watched this today, I was like, OhMyGod! I've seen that before! It's Zuko and Katara!

Wow, this is beautiful! You make them seem perfect for Romeo and Juliet. I like the Water Tribe symbol in the background, that's a great touch.

Wow, what an amazing crossover idea! I'd love to see some more detail in Katara/Juliet's wings, but apart from that this is beautiful. The water tribe symbol in the valances was a nice touch, too... there's great emotion and the parallels with Katara and Zuko's situation are enormous. Come to think of it, if Zuko were to actually have died in the Azula fight.... wow, the story only kind of in reverse. Only without them being in love before the death - haha, rambling
