Very loose digital study based on the work of Impressionist Mary Cassatt. I don't post much (if any?) of my more academic stuff here so I thought this was a good place to start.

It's part of a project I came up with to try to "reveal the artist's hand" through a digital medium. Essentially, I attempted to mimic the painterly quality of Cassatt's oil paintings through an image that was created entirely through a digital art program. I like the idea of playing with perceptions of "traditional" or "valuable" art. Is it clear this is a digitally produced image? Does the answer to that make it seem any more or less valuable? Would more precision make it more valuable or is the opposite true? What would happen if I used the same process with less conventional subject matter.
