OMG!!! Did I seriously submit something under 'traditional art'? O_O;; NoooooIt scanned better than I thought it would, though ^^ I drew this for , and after reading her recent journal I made sure to finish it. She seems down, and I was hoping this will cheer her up ^__^ I tried to color this going by her little tutorial she posted a while back. I did pretty good on his hair, but his skin is bleh

Hope she likes it. I've really been wanting to get better with colored pencils, and I tried not to rush this time ^^

This is stunning, i love the softness of this and im sure laitma loved this so much..... I love his hair and eyes in particular. I have to admit its nice to see traditional media used. though im such a hipocrite with going fully digi lately XD

A little more tone variation in the eyes would have been nice. (But it may just be that I can't see it clearly in the small view and my comp won't load full views, so sorry if it's there.)

Actually, I'm kinda jealous of the way you can transition the red to the yellow so well. D: I love the tipped hair for Luke, but it's damn hard to pull off and I tend to forget it a lot. D8
But, yeah, ain't Luke's hair SOOOOOO much fun to draw??? XD I think your highlights are particularly gorgeous, so sharp and crisp, and the curl and soft shading are really very nice. : )
Just don't be afraid to press down! I'm sure you could do some really vibrant and bright trad work if you tried, but then again, the super-soft gentle shading is amazing, too.
Anyway, thanks a ton, man. This means a lot to me, and I'm really grateful to have awesome friends like you. : )

Wow, it took me a while to figure out this wasn't CG. Highlights are very difficult to do with colored pencils, but you did great! The hair and the eyes really seem to sparkle with reflected light.

thanks. I just wish I could have ade his hair more RED looking o.o; can make the colors really dark and vivid, but when I try that it looks weird. I do even worse when I ink the lineart first. Maybe I'll post in sraps the pic I started of Mary from ToD
