It's no big secret that I'm a huge Phantom of the Opera dork. If you haven't read Susan Kay's "Phantom" I highly reccommend it. Anyway, here's some fan art inspired by the movie...although I took my own liberties with the character designs. This isn't really fanart of the flick, per say, just my personal vision of the characters in Anime style. Just a little thing I did for myself. ^_^Hand drawn and inked with deleter manga nibs and black ink, scanned and colored in Photoshop. ^_^ Enjoy!

I, like a number of people on here have already said, Love your rendition of Erik. I personally think he looks a little like Tsuzuki Asato from Yami no Matsuei, but with gold eyes. Not that there's anything wrong with that, it looks awesome, but it looked very similar.

8 pieces? LOL Aww... I spent $38 on the damn thing because there's only ONE printing of it! But Hell, it was WORTH the money! I hope to pass it onto one of my kids some day, when I ahve them.. one of them WILL be a Phantom phan even if it kills me, lol

Mm, very lovely. You have an excellent coloring style. I've never imagined the characters like this. Perhaps reading the novel in French would have been more interesting if my mental images of the characters looked like yours.

The Leroux novel reads very very dry. I actually adored it, but had a very hard time wading my way through it when I first tried. I reccommend Susan Kay's "Phantom", which is my favorite adaption of the story. ^_^

There are a lot of different versions of the story, one of which is actually a Sherlock Holmes story. ^_^; I went through a big phantom phase back in 1990 and it hasn't really worn off since.
I have a tendency to really draw Erik much more calm than you would expect. I don't really know why. He's very mild in my mind sometimes.

Oh wow! So Phantom and yet so beautifully anime! Not that the two don't match, mind you, because they quite obviously do (Hell Yeah!). Excellent personal envisionment of the characters, I love the hair and Erik's enchanting scars

It's a difficult subject to tackle; so many people have their own visions of what Erik and Christine look like that it's sometimes difficult to meet peoples expectations. That's kind of why i was a wee bit selfish with this one <_< *cough* diditformyself *cough* ^_^;;;
Christine's costume needs some work. -_- I should've farted around with some textures, added something. It's terribly generic b ut the style works well enough. ^_^
