The Daring class minesweeper is a dedicated fleet vessel designed to dismantle or move space mines and their associated defences. The ship has 2 work pods for manned or automated operations, as well as multi mission probes able to be launched from 2 drone bays. The vessel can also deploy its own small spatial mines.

These vessels typically work in groups at specific minefield sites in conjunction with dedicated sensor ships to deal with the many threats surrounding space mines, from jump mines, hyperlane mines, and deployed missile pod mines, as well as jamming mines by moving close thanks to their unique stealth assisting hulls.

Their weapons help with both destroying mines as well as defending themselves from smaller threats like drones and missiles that accompany minefields.

In fleet operations these ships act as a forward screen, clearing lanes for larger battleships and fighter and bomber squads on the assault. When not in action they operate as picket ships, screening smaller craft from approaching the fleet thanks to their dedicated sensor platform.

Well armoured, extremely manoeuvrable, but not especially fast these ships can operate for several months before needing to resupply and rearm.
