Almost there...
Fig. 11 has, by drawing those two lines from VP2, the top and bottom sides of the gable, where it connects to the roof.
It's that easy.
Fig. 12 is similar to the "vertical window" part of the triangular gables: from Points B and C draw up vertical lines. Through the top corners of that gable draw lines from VP1. Where they meet will be Points 1 and 2.
And if you've already guessed that a line drawn from VP2 will go through them both, then you are ahead of this page!
