Although Lord Haversack, a member in Excellent Standing of the London, Cardiff, Brussels and New York Adventurer's Clubs, has routinely discounted Miss Janie Adams claims that she discovered a pack of flyin' grizzlies while adventuring in the Yukon last winter. Often citing the fact that the reported wing span alone would be insufficient to support a bear's frame, Lord Haversack has also pointedly refused Miss Adams invitation to "go out there and check for yerself," even when she offered to guide him there herself. Whether this is from his incredulous belief regarding flying bears or a fear that without witnesses or the constraints of civilization to restrain her, Miss Adams might just kill him and leave his body to rot on the rocks, as she has threatened to do on more than one occasion, has been hotly debated in the Club's various billiard rooms.
