Major Anatoly Brekhov,

Major Brekhov dropped with a splash into the chilly sewer water and was immediately set upon by a familiar of the KGB's "Bloodline Assets" which he quickly dispatched with his hatchet. In 1967 the Major had discovered as part of one of his supernatural investigations that the KGB was using a certain vampire nest as "intelligence assets against Western interests. Anatoly Brekhov did not believe in utilizing these creatures against anyone regardless of the political need or belief. Besides that the KGB had been indifferent to the vampires attacks on Soviet citizens, as long as the vampires had not attacked anyone of Communist Party with political or social significance. Major Brekhov took great exception to the loss of human life irregardless and made it his mission over the next five years to disrupt and eventually destroy all associated members of the "Bloodline Assets."
There are no official records concerning Major Anatoly Brekhov's supernatural investigations. All those records were sealed at the time and are believed to been destroyed by hard-line Communist Party officials after the fall of the Soviet Union. However, recently some previously undisclosed CIA intelligence intercepts have provided further insights into the activities of Major Anatoly Brekhov. It is unclear from the nature of these documents whether the CIA was tracking potential supernatural threats or seeking to develop its own supernatural intelligence assets.
