Positive traits:

Straightforward: Cedarflame is pretty literal. They don't beat around the bush and usually say it how it is. A lot of the time while he is out being a chaser, he is used to commands, and so it translate to him trained to say what and how things really are.

Capable: With his immense strength and stamina, Cedarflame is more than capable of completing physical tasks given to him. His job has made him reliable not only for chasing for defense as well.

Protective: Despite being stiff and serious, Cedarflame is very protective of those he does like. Any danger that might come to anyone he cares dearly will be met with tooth and fang by Cedar.

Negative traits:

Hostile: While also protective, he’s hostile to any other cat he hasn’t made acquaintances with yet. There a sense of alarm and tenseness when meeting someone at first. It takes a while to warm up to him.

Boastful: Pride can sometimes overtake him during work, as sometimes if he’s sneaky enough he will just lounge in the nearest shade, confident that he’d be fast enough to catch anyone trying to sneak in. Cedar also likes to boast about the kinds of things he chases away.
Cold: Distant is a word one could describe Cedar. It doesn’t help much that Brena is spread apart and away from the clan, making his job a little more lonely. This can be reversed if someone warms up to him.

History
Both Pinefur and Nettlefang were transfers from Nara. They pleaded with the authorities in Halcyon to transfer them, explaining that their kits should have a different role in helping to maintain order: one that would mean more protection for the Halcyon. The only kit that survived the first 24 hours was Cedarkit, who survived the cold that infected his other siblings. Surely that was a sign, wasn’t it? In an attempt to finally get them to leave, the Halcyon agreed to transfer them out and to Brena.
In reality it was more than that. As explorers found that their job opened doors that they didn't want opened in the first place. They found how easy it would be to just..leave and be free. They’d heard whispers of rebellion, but found that too risky. What if they could just leave? Maybe pretend their death? No, they couldn’t. They planned on having kits, and leaving the safety of the clan to bare their kit in an outside world was too much of a risk.
Through the duration of Cedarflame’s kithood and apprenticeship, they would praise Cedar for his accomplishments and feed him the narrative that he would become a great chaser- and a protector to cats that depended on him. While this filled Cedarpaw with happiness he couldn’t help but feel like his parents were further distancing themselves from as the moons passed by.
They stayed for the graduation, and congratulated with him, but by the next moon, in the early morning, it was noticed that Cedarflame’s parents were gone. Rumours began to spread. Did they move back to Nara? Did they speak too much and a watcher from Halcyon overheard? While taking on his new role as chaser, Brena sent out a messenger to see if they were a Nara. It came back that they were not. It’s like they had disappeared.
It was when he was chasing out a badger with others, that Cedarpaw came close to death. With his leg injured, Cedarflame hissed at the intruder, awaiting his death. A flash of orange fur came through his vision. As he looked closer, it was his mother- Nettlefang! She’d come passing by and saw the commotion. Her distraction and fighting allowed time for reinforcements, which drove the badger away.
His mother gave him a sorrowful look, before running off and away from the territories.
The experience left him bitter, and unlike his cheery self. While he was still a hard-working chaser, most of the time he liked to slack off and break some rules just for his own entertainment. Being a protector of ALL cats didn’t seem like a very meaningful purpose to him anymore. How can it be when his parents ran off to live the life of outsiders instead of fulfilling their role?

EVERYTHING FROM HERE DOWN IS ROLEPLAY/EVENTS THAT HAVE HAPPENED
ONE MORE ( DOG ATTACK)

Cedarflame's life in Brena changed completely after the news of two dogs entering the territory swept through the clan. Cedarflame and Foxwhisper were able to fight and chase away one of the dogs. The other had a party of cats sent to chase it away. Cedarflame was part of this group, and they all fought valiantly to make it clear it wasn’t welcomed.

However, the group chose to kill the beast instead of chasing it away. They overdid their duty, and Morning was furious. Because of lack of restraint and the carnage left behind, Xe ordered Cedarflame to be transferred to Kelra, angry that he could be responsible for such carnage.

KELRA LIFE:

Cedarflame didn’t do much here! He was only here for two moons, and in that time he witnessed Feather’s death. This is where he questioned his loyalty with the Halcyon, and is the point where he gets closer to being on the fence. He learns plenty of battling skills, and does his duty.

Kelrans notices that Wolf’la, the Queen herself, approaches and visits Cedarflame often. After the death of Moth, who killed Feather without permission, Wolf’la announced she is pregnant with his kits and the tom accepts the invitation to join the Halcyon. From this day it is no longer Cedarflame, but Cedar.

HALCYON LIFE (KNIGHT) :

He has four kits: Dragonfly, Wasp, Centipede and Aphid. Aside from being a Halcyon ,Wolf’la sets up a new system: Knights. Cedar was one of the first to be chosen for such a role. He was vicious, sure, but following After Falcon’la's example, he calmed and became more merciful.

Wolf’la during this time was being seen less and less, her mind scattered and her actions incomprehensible. The knights struggled to keep the panic of blackbloods spreading to the clans- and halcyon itself. Swarmed with stress and doubts, Cedar continued to be on the fence about his loyalty with Halcyon, despite his closeness with his other knightly peers.

The only thing keeping him together was Cinnamonheart- his best friend and now mate.

HIATUS:

( Hiatus from October2019 -December 2019. This point, Cedar was injured and taken care of by his mate, Cinnamonheart but had to step down from being a knight. HC he fought a bit during the Black Incursion)

CURRENT:

Cedar returned to the Halcyon with new feelings. The incursion has shown how poor of a choice it is to have one clan rule over others. Cotton’sil solidifies his feelings, and he no longer believes Kings/Queens should exist. Just a leader of Halcyon who can teach them to behave like a normal clan. In secret, Cedar is giving away any information to any rebels and updates on what the Halcyon has been up to, what they’re doing, etc.
As the weather warmed, Cedar and Cinnamonheart both agreed that they wanted children of their own to nurture, becoming a family unit. Finding a surrogate mother, Koistream (now Rainfern) seemed like the perfect candidate! A moon into the pregnancy, however, it was discovered the kits were stillborns. The three were filled with grief, and thus, promptly decided to wait for a little longer. It would them some time before deciding it was best to pick another surrogate.
From tragedy sprouted hope and then birth. he and Cinnamonheart, with the help of Fawnwish as a surrogate mother, have had four kits! ( Mockingkit, Larkkit, Sagekit and Cricketkit )
