Sketched during a very long and boring lecture on databases. It has its many little flaws, but somehow I like it a lot.

I'm still pushing through toward that degree but I really wish I could quit. In any case it's good to hear my fellow stumbler is following her creative ambitions. Do what makes you happy.

I wish you could quit too, actually. I kind of regret quitting on some level, but objectively it makes me so much happier to fill my time (and earn money) with something I enjoy, instead of just forcing myself through assignments and exams that I wasn't actually *into*. I'm glad I realised that wasn't working before it became my profession.

Yeah, it turns out databases are pretty boring, but I managed to ace aΒ databases class a couple semesters ago without mastering relational algebra or SQL.Β I powered through school and should be finishing my degree within another semester or two, but I still wish I could spend more time learning to paint concept art.
This is one of my favorite pieces of yours. I don't know if you got the reference from here [www.youtube.com/watch?v=DNjzzD⦠or not, but that's what I was getting at in my original comment.

Hey, if concept art really is something you have to do, you'll eventually make time for it. It's not always so dramatic as it was for me with the complete change of career, but overall I'm pretty sure people end up doing what they really want, one way or another.
I didn't know that song until now, but it's a nice one and it fits. I can't remember why I came up with this name. Maybe I did read about the song or something.

haha, I like your interpretation. The squiggle came before I knew what I wanted to draw, and was just doodling at random on the page. I couldn't really integrate it in the final drawing (or didn't bother to). But if a burning bird makes you happy, then it is!

This is so beautiful. I absolutely love the way you colored this, especially that tree and water! It looks so realistic but so watercolory! The birds were a really nice touch. It would not be complete without them.
