I took a bit of artistic liberty with the text. There are little marks underneath the words and they are meant to be an alien language. Yeah, it's hard work being this lame, haha.

Commentary from Tony:
"Take notice that I wrote all this BEFORE the extended cut so....that does not play in to this stories canon.

Again pretty simple to think of a few thoughts on this.

This is shortly after the Reaper War. Leela's body has yet to be found and people are still suffering and Garrus knows that he must do what he can to help with getting the Citadel up and running and making life for the people stranded in the Sol system easier.

So he figures that while they are aboard the Citadel and hopefully reach the Catalyst to find some sign of her. It's a hopeful scene in that it shows Garrus just finding something that'll allow him to keep moving forward."
