Well here it is, after one of the longest periods of development I've ever had to endure. dinks finally gets the WindowBlinds 4 treatment!The screenshot tells you everything you need to know. Be sure to read the 'ReadMe.htm' file in the skin installation directory before using the skin for the first time. The latest version of this documentation can always be found at [link] .

Wow is this ever a great skin. You did some really great work with this and I am stunned. I did find a problem and it's probably because the read-me was too complicated for me . After I installed the skin and installed winamp, I followed the directions, but the song title doesnt show up on the title bar at all, stationary or scrolling. The winamp version was 2.91 if that has anything to do with it.

I also think you're trying a little too hard to nit-pick the skin. - Oh, please. You just asked for a constructive comment and I wrote down most of the things I don't like about it.
Finally, about the 3d look - numbers disagree, because I am the only one who spent some time criticizing your VS about the negative-sides in it. Most of the people don't bother posting comments from the "I don't like it" type, if they don't find the VS attractive.

Thank you for coming back and expanding on your comment aquadark, but I don't think you can be talking about the same skin as everyone else! All of the rounded objects in the skin, apart from the edges of the window borders, are fully anti-aliased and include full per-pixel alpha blending on Windows XP. I also think you're trying a little too hard to nit-pick the skin.
If a three-pixel high 'TM' sign in a discrete place is the worst you can find wrong, then you're reaching a little to say the least. As for the 'grayhaze.com' logo, I don't think it's unreasonable to include a reference to the author in a skin if it doesn't impose on the overall look and design, especially as this is something I've put together over a large amount of my spare time for free distribution.
As for the 'semi-3D' look, you're certainly entitiled to your opinion, but the numbers seem to disagree with you. Your last comment was the most telling of them all - your remarks are clearly intended as an attack on anything related to WindowBlinds, and as such are nothing but uneducated and childish.

ok, here is the constructive comment
First of all, the rounded title bars - it just looks ugly, when you can see the contrasting wallpaper in the two top corners. The same goes for the scrollbars.
Most of the rounded things - buttons, icon boarders (for the taskbar) are not smooth, I mean they lack "antialiasing". Also the top, lighter blue shadow on the same components is out of place. The "tm" sign under the MS Logo is pointless. The same applies for [link] .
And definitely, the whole "semi-3d" look is too hackneyed and outdated (as mentioned in my first comment). If you forget about the rounded and 3d stuff, your next works promise to rock. Also, I installed Windows Blinds specially, in order to view your visual style. Most users prefer just clean .msstyles

i think this is the best windowblinds skin i have ever tried. the images and main shell layout looks great... perfect size.. doesnt bothers the eye... the blue is great, and i particulary love how media player and other pleasant features are embbeded on the windows. i'm really loving this skin

Mmmm... extremely nice, your hard work has certainly paid off. Your original Dinks was just about my one and only previous favourite WB skin. But I'm VS all the way now, so I hope you let someone like KoL port this

Those experiencing problems with a black bar where the media player title should be should ensure that they have updated to the very latest beta version of WindowBlinds 4. Support for the WBAmp plugin was broken in a recent beta, but is now fixed.

I've got to hand it to you, dude: This skin has gotten me using WindowBlinds again. I don't even have Windows XP, yet I still get all the benefit and beauty of this skin and its functionality. I used the original Dinks for months, but grew tired of it...yet this brings all the pseudo-nostalgia rushing back in a new, refreshingly blue form ^.^ Truely fantastic, and you deserved the DD, for whatever it's worth You also deserve my

It's Blue!!! Never considered using a skin on my system before, but you have made me a changed woman. How could I resist the allures of the color blue. Still trying to figure out how to use the media player on the bottom, though. Very nice.

ok, first off, love the skin, using it right now and honeslty don't know how i've lived without something this useful for so long.
onto to my one tiny problem, the media scroll bar in my skin for whatever reason is just black, not just not scrolling, its black, nothing is there at all. Just wondering what I did wrong and if you could guide me on how to fix this little snafu. Thanks. Great job again!

Wow, I'm thoroughly impressed about the winamp stuff in the bottom of the screens though I'm not sure whether or not they will get annoying once you start running with multiple windows. Either way, the coloring job you've done on this is fantastic. Great job. I'll let you know if I find any bugs in it when I can get to my home PC and download it.

nice, i can't wait to try this one out... i love how you have all the little options included, yet the skin isn't bulky. and i also love the minimize to tray and transparency options, wish more skins had them. ...i'll definitely leave any comments/criticisms i come up with, as i feel i'll be using this one quite a while ^_^ +fav too^^
