Description
Here's my first ACTUALLY recent post.
As you can see, it's a rough sketch (or an attempt at one) of ponified Kain of Nosgoth.
I tried to do a sort of perspective... thing, but I really don't like the way it turned out. It made Kain end up looking a little stumpy, at least to me. I also don't like how the banner/cape turned out. How do wrinkles work?
But you know, for a first attempt after I-don't-even-know-how-long, it turned out... passable, I guess.
I was originally going to do a digital version of this in Photoshop, but that ended up looking horrible, so I scrapped the idea and drew this instead. My eventual plan is to make a vector using this as a general guide. But I really need to sharpen my skills, first.
I left Kain without a cutie mark, because I'm still trying to figure out what it should be.
I could use the classic Kain symbol (you know, that sort of bat looking thing on his banner/cape thing. THINGS), but I think the symbol from the Pillar of Balance would make more sense as a cutie mark, since Kain's the Scion of Balance and all...
Anyway, mindless babble aside, what do you think?
And more importantly, what do you think I could do to improve?
If you have any hints, tips, or tutorials that might benefit me, feel free to share them! God knows I could use the help...
[EDIT] Oh, and I just realized that my scanner has rendered his entire back half nearly invisible.
Yay.
