RE: New Changes to Policies

Effective immediately, the following changes apply to all Employees

Item 1. New Lunch Hours
In accordance to the findings of a Third Party efficiency evaluation specialist, who has come to the following conclusion after extensive research and observation, all lunch hours for all salaried employees of Grade 5 or below are now to be 27 minutes long. This has been determined to be an ample time to purchase a meal from a nearby vendor and consume it, with enough time left over to perform any small tasks of personal comfort or hygiene before returning to work. This time will be strictly monitored and recorded on the employee’s time record.

Item 2. Fuel Reimbursement and Expense Accounting
All submissions of reimbursement to the Expenses Dept involving incurred expenses must first be verified and approved by the individual’s supervisor as well as the Dept Manager. Failure to obtain this approval before submission will result in immediate denial of the expenses and all receipts will be destroyed. Only originals of receipts will be accepted as valid. Faxes, photocopies, credit card statements, canceled checks or other form of evidence will no longer be accepted as a valid proof of expense. Fuel Reimbursement requests must be accompanied by the original receipt and proof that the vehicle was used for company business when the fuel was purchased. Failure to do so will result in denial of reimbursement. Due to the increase of fuel cost the current reimbursement of 13 cents a mile has been increased to 13.5 cents a mile.

Item 3. New Dress Code Policies
The dress code policies have been updated to the following levels.

Salaried Males, Grade 5 or lower. Professional Attire to include desk slacks or a dark hue (No Dockers), a long sleeved white dress shirt and tie, and a matching suit jacket or blazer. Polished dress shoes must be worn at all times.

Salaried Females, Grade 5 or lower. Professional Attire to include tube skirts and short sleeved V necked blouses, or professional cut dresses with a hem line not to exceed two inches above the knee in length. Stockings or hose much be worn at all times, and shoes must be close toed with at least two inches of heel. Business coats are not to be worn inside the office environment at any time.

Meet Sarah B. Ross, voluptuous mink and Vice President of the company that Richard Nelson works for (in case you don't know, this is Richard [link] ). Every employee trembles in fear of the sound of clacking heels as Sarah makes her rounds. Harvard schooled, Sarah is every inch the professional, from her impeccable wardrobe to her cold stare. She speaks Spanish, French, and Japanese fluently, and is partially fluent in Italian, Russian and German.

As Head of Human Resources, Sarah has a finger on the pulse of the office at all times and keeps it running like a well oiled machine. Strangely, Sarah seems to have a fondness for Richard, though it is unclear if it is a fondness for tormenting him, or if she feels sorry for the poor guy, as the situations seem to sway between the two extremes all the time. Sometimes she seems almost sympathetic to his marital plight, and will make overtures that would seem almost bordering on intense sexual harassment, if she didn’t laughingly wad up the reports and toss them as soon as they hit her desk. The next minute however, she will make him squirm under her tongue lashing, berating him and his work until he can barely voice a reply.

What makes this woman tick under that coldly beautiful face? She is a current mystery and only time will tell.
