Well, I meant that the Webley was standard issue to British officers, and they'd have to keep it even if they also acquired something else.
I do know that captured "other side stuff" was used, like I saw a photo a Bren Carrier with Wehrmacht plates, signs and insignia, and the Bren still mounted rather than swapped out for a German LMG.
