the style reminds me of that cover of What's Going On that was floating around a while back, when all the singers were unwrapping stuff like that from their heads, like "racism", "sexism", "AIDS". stuff like that, ya know.
I really liked how simply and effectivly the message was conveyed in that, and I really like how you've applied it to a still photo. the other thing it reminds me off is scarlet letters. because the person is surrounded by darkness, and has the light totally on them.
