It was just a custom brush, I cheated on the shirt. XP
And I know the software, kinda. I took a class on it...kinda...ok, so I know how to select things, use the gradients, burn, blur, the basic stuff...but I'm still uber learning.
So it's not that impressive. XDXDXDXDXD
But thank you sooooooooooooo much!!!

You're doing a nice job, just learning Gimp. The first time I attempted a digital piece it took me about 10 hours. xD
One thing I learned, if you use the paint bucket to fill, it helps if you expand the selection by a pixel or two. Then it will leave less white space between the colors and lines.

Gothicamew In reply to mizz-izzy [2010-11-17 18:03:48 +0000 UTC]
Yeah, I actually don't like using bucket fill at all, I was just super rushed and going click click click!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
XP
I hate white space. Looks horrible, doesn't it?! XP
But yes, thank you so much for the compliment and advice!

I can tell it was a tad rushed. "Experienced" digital artists can pick out a brush from the program but most custom ones are fun. I was about to say, with the paint bucket, you're not going to get everything. You need to put it on a separate layer and have the color bleed under the lines so everything's covered. You have a little white showing. Otherwise really good!

Yeah, I just had to click click click click run run run run!!!!
Totally almost late for work. XP
And they were on seperate layes, that's how bad it was! XDXDXDXD
But I like it. I could totally fix it, but I need to move on to other projects.
Thank you, though.

Anyway, today we worked with sumi ink in Life Drawing (I'll eventually put my personal selections up but they're nude). My fingers and nails are black all over but it makes me want to make more like drawings.

True dat. I made a button with my etsy shop address on it. Maybe I can attract some customers... I also need to get more stuff up but the end of the quarter is kickin' my sorry behind. I feel proud that except for (significantly less) pop and a few cookies here and there I haven't eaten anything too bad for me.

That's really cool. Have you done any commissions yet? Once I
1. Get a tablet
2. Get Photoshop
3. Get used to them
4. Learn anatomy, shading, colors, and clothing better
5. Learn how to make better backgrounds
I think I'll try getting some commisions. I'm totally not ready yet, though. A lot of people like my style, though, and say it's really starting to show through. I just need to get some more things down.

She'll probably get you diet pills, beauty cream, and a *ahem* d***o, and say, "This is going to be your only friend if you don't lose weight and become pretty. Without a rich man, i.e. the husband you should be working on getting, to pay for all of my bills, you will mean nothing to me, because you are a waste of space."
I hate how she acts. She acts like everyone is beneath her. And she's all money money it seems. At least, those are the vibes I've always gotten from her.

It's okay, I got those vibes from her when she tried making me go in to computer science and French instead of art and Japanese. She never had much and I think she's kinda traumatized by it. She is a little prejudice and gave Chris Wunderle, if you remember him, the death glare for no reason. I don't mind my mom cuz she's my mom but she's a little off at times. I'm trying to describe b&w photo to color and repair services for money to her and she doesn't get it...
What's d***o?

It's a something you would get at an adult mart? Add an "l" in the middle, and an "i" and a "d" in there.
And that's rediculous. The death glare? Mur. I'da slapped a hoe. lol.
