Commission for ! .w./Her PFS character Ta-weret the halfling druid and her animal companion, Hariti the pygmy hippo.
These two were fun to draw! I've never drawn a hippo (or a pygmy hippo) before, but I quite enjoyed it. As well as drawing Ta-weret - I really should draw more middle aged people, it's fun.
Hariti is a bit too small here (she's actually large sized now), but Mary said it's fine. ;w; Hope you like the final result!
Neopiko liner, Copic markers, white gel pen on Bristol board.

Yeah, hippos need more love! I have a hunter character myself whose animal companion is boar - though it's one of the core rulebook animals, I think it's a bit underrated too. Though of course nowhere near as underrated as the hippo.

I have not, but I am aware hippos are very dangerous animals. However I was referring to the fact that this particular hippo character - or at least her humanoid buddy - is/are quite peaceful and chill.

Thanks man! 8D Yeah I guess hippos are rarely taken seriously, desite the fact that they are actually really badass animals. I'm sure Ta-weret does just fine with Hariti as her companion!

Jei, näyttävät itseiltään. Ta-weretkään ei sit lopulta oo liikaa käpsän näkönen.
Värien puolesta toi kaikki ruskee toisensa päällä ei näyttää ehkä vähän hassulta, silleen taiteellisesta näkökulmasta, mut tää onkin ensisijaisesti referenssi ja ton värisiä ne hahmot sattuu oleen.

Jooh, koitin vähän valita eri sävyisiä ruskeita ettei ois pelkkää massaa, mutta onneksi sentään Hariti on iso musta pinta tuolla taustalla. ;w; Ei kuitenkaan pitäs olla liian puuroinen.

Yeah it certainly is awesome! Like Mary has told me, the pygmy hippo isn't super awesome stat-wise, but is quite lovely.
