A tribute to women. As a man of my age I have seen in my time a change of social regards to what women are and represent. I wanted to present a idea of a time when woman were less equal to men on a social level yet had a power and mystery that has become compromised to accommodate equality. The same way the world is losing its individual cultures, men and women are becoming more alike as they become equal. I designed the box so you must stoop to turn the crank, which is a pot connected to a broom. I have placed inside the various things that make up what a women once was. Here was a woman who lived her life with its ups and downs never traveling very far from home. Her unrealized dream to see the sea is represented by the suit case filled with her life ready to go. Perhaps now she has passed on she can languish in the warm sun by the seashore. 3 feet long by 3 feet wide by 2.5 feet tall.
