Snow is falling once againMy soul is weary of this world
My body fails me, weakening
How long can I endure this cold?
I hear the Raven calling me
Onyx brother takes me home
Once more to spirit I return
Upon raven wings I am borne
In memory of Kasha and all the other spirits who were called home this winter at WOLF sanctuary.
12" X 5" watercolor and colored pencil on Bristol paper.

Do you use reference photos when you draw, or is this freehand? Because the anatomy looks flawless, especially at such an angle which can be awkward to draw...
