For years, back when the big 3 networks - were actually the big 3 networks - you had to watch the Christmas specials when they broadcast them - home recording was not quite a thing just yet. So commercials specifically made to broadcast with them were also a once-a-year treat. One of these was the Norelco Santa, a stop-motion cousin to Rankin-Bass efforts (and bearing more than a passing resemblance to their Santas). No one to my knowledge has ever created an official piece of merchandise, like an ornament, for this lost Santa, so I went ahead and kit-bashed one, using an old-school Norelco shaver head, a 1964 Rudolph-Santa keychain piece, and a dollar store gift box accessory, amid a field of craft-store pillow stuffing. The photo piece up top I got from Ebay, for comparison. Not quite 100 % accurate, but considering how often the commercials themselves changed his look, I can live with it.
