Description
Evening all,
Been a while . I'm back from Alaska and it was a wonderful vacation with family. Saw lots of wildlife and took some lovely pictures of snow caped mountains and icy glaciers. Also went for a nice walk along several nature trails and it was during one of these strolls that I caught sight of a slightly pointed had ducking behind a bush. I called out to the being but they didn't reply. I then told them about how I was actually from another area of the world and was just visiting for a short time. I also mentioned my Den and how I was searching for gnomes in need of homes for a festival near my hometown. I thought I saw some movement in the bush after that but still no vocal response. Not wanting to keep my family waiting I continued onward and met up with my husband and in-laws at the dock ahead.
Fast forward several days later and our cruise ended and we arrived back in Washington state. We all packed ourselves in the car once again and drove home. Later, however, as my husband and I were unpacking our luggage we noticed something odd. Some of the clothing looked as though something burrowed between it. My husband had rolled up all of our shirts and pants and stacked them tightly so they'd fit in one bag. But somehow some of the clothing had become unrolled and there was this empty space near the top of the bag that we don't recall being there. Aside from that though everything looked fine so we just shrugged it off as odd. That is, until a few minutes later when there was an odd commotion from the hallway. There I found Bowen (my house brownie and avatar for this page) squaring off against a female gnome dressed in sea greens. He told me he caught her trying to sneak away. After a long conversation with the odd stranger I leaned that I'd obtained a stowaway. How she managed to hide in our cabin and then our luggage all this time and not get caught I still have no idea but if there's one thing I've learned for sharing my home with all these gnomes it's that they can be outright stealthy if they want to. Anyway long story somewhat short she's here now and I took a couple photos of her exploring the garden here.
