Happy belated new year everyone!
Hope this year's treated you all well thus far. Things aren't off to the best start over at the Den but it's nothing too detrimental. There's been lots of rain and wind for the past several weeks so I really haven't been going for walks like I used to but today the rain finally let up a bit so I decided to venture out into the cold just to check up on the property. It was as I was circling the house to check on the shed in back when I spotted what I thought at first was small twig moving vertically across the ground. Curious I walked over to it and soon saw that the "twig" was actually a pointed hat that belonged to a ginger bearded gnome. He turned and said hello before going back to wander about the area. Confused as to what he was doing here I inquired if he was looking for something. He said he was just looking for edible mushrooms to gather and add to the collection he has amassed in the shed. When I still didn't follow what he was saying he lead me over to the shed and showed me a hoard of mushrooms in makeshift planters. Naturally this was a bit of surprise to say the l least and I quickly tried explaining that the shed belonged to me and I couldn't have him growing the shrooms in there come spring as I'd need to access the tools stored inside. He told me he knew and that he and the "others" would move them by then. When I questioned him about who he was referring to he told me there were multiple gnomes living on my property as they had arrived late after the festival and so they just hung around as there really wasn't another place for them to go. They didn't bother to enter the Den proper as they were used to "roughing it" and were fine just living in the shed and under planters and pots. When I looked into the matter furthers I found that Bowen apparently was aware the gnomes were outside but didn't figure it needed to be brought up as they kept to themselves (never mind the fact that the weather's been cruddy lately). Needless to say they've been welcomed to come inside now if they want.
