The only reason I said "sort of" is because I think that Equestria is the equivalent of late 19th century America. But since guns aren't around, they might go back to the beginning.

Spike looks really cool in this. It picture looks all nice and vectory, like an asset that would actually be in the show. (Mind you some of the the symbols that made it in such as the fire ruby in Secret of My Excess look really out of place)
