Story:

When Simba spotted Kopa sleeping next to Kovu and Zira that morning, he did flinch. Though he wasn't going to make a scene in frount of the whole pride, so he let it go for the time being. Later in the day, Simba causally asked what his son was doing last night. Kopa blurts how Zira told him about Scar and questions why Simba didn't tell him sooner, since the story wasn't that scary. Alarmed, Simba asked for details and Kopa went on about how "Scar was a complicated lion and he was replaced due to his failure with the drought".

While not specifying it was Kopa's grandfather, Simba revealed that Scar was a killer to his son. Childishly, Kopa asked how Scar was dead then. If his dad played a role in his death, surely that made him a killer too? What was the difference between a good and bad killer? Lions killed prey all the time. His trauma coming up again, Simba stiffly told Kopa they needed a serious talk before going off to calm now.

Later that day, Simba gathered up his family and Zira away from the pride. Kovu was brought along since he could clarify what Zira said to Kopa last night. Kopa began to tantrum, yelling it's unfair to involve his innocent friend and why is this all a big deal at all? Nala pulled the cubs aside while Simba confronted Zira.

While Nala disagreed with Simba's jumpiness towards the cubs, she agreed that they should be wary of Zira, especially since she told Kopa about Scar without their permission. Nala told Kopa to stop yelling and that he shouldn't make large assumptions about Scar's downfall, since it's a triggering subject for his father. She continued that he's too young to be told and he's not as ready as he thinks is.

Meanwhile Simba and Zira were having a disagreement of their own. The King accuses Zira of lying to his son, since she left out such important details. He says he's trying to comprise with her, guaranteeing her cubs' position in the future lion guard and considering her betrothal idea. However, she can't keep leveraging her connection to a murderer to get more privileges then the other lioness. While he wants peace too, he won't be a pushover to Zira's demands.

Zira doesn't feel the same. She brings up how Simba almost exiled them when they first met and him sending away Chumvi. She says she's just trying to survive in a pride who clearly don't want her there. She claimed she wasn't lying, since she doesn't even know if Simba was telling the truth about Scar murdering Mufasa - There's no way to confirm either way since she wasn't present. It's her word vs his.

Simba tells Zira that's enough. He'll continue compromising for the Pride's cubs, but no longer her. He'll tell Zira's cubs directly that she has delusions about a murderer and they shouldn't believe her.
