Description After 2 hours of trying submit this to DA yesterday afternoon, I gave up in frustration. At last I have access to a computer that works!

Another quick watercolor painting. I wanted to try a sponged background this time. I'm not sure if the colors I chose are the best, but I like the effect I got from it.

I used a photo I took of a break dancer who was performing in a group on the stree next to the church near the KaDeWe in Berlin (the church with the broken roof).

Edit: Just curious, but does this look really yellow/orange to anyone else? I just saw it on a computer other than my own and the colors seem off D:

It's not really yellow at all to me. More like golden yellow/light orange. More orange then yellow.
I really love the colors you used for the background, and how it's done in sponge effect. It makes for an interesting atmosphere with the dancer and just really stands out, lively and full of energy. You captured the dancer great too, his pose, the perspective and his clothes.. fabulous job!

I guess the orange-ness works.

Thanks so much for the great comment Really, I wasn't even aiming for an energetic feel, I just wanted to experiment a little. I'm really glad that it worked out as energetic in the background to go with the figure.

Orange, pink, blue... not really yellow. It looks fantastic! You really captured his energy. The perspective is great, the folds on his clothing are - can I say perfect? Great job!

I was hoping the orange wouldn't come out too yellow. Thanks so much!
