Description
Charm, elegance, ancestry and long hair. Our animal is the angora cat, who has this name because of the region where it originated, today known as Ankara, Turkey. Just got to say that this place has a special talent for furry animals. Take the Angora’s rabbit and goat for example.
Some assume, others claim that the angora cat was the first domestic cat to carry the gene for long fur and as a result, responsible for all the hairy kitties we have today. In spite of that, this species don't loose hair all around, since all of it comes from its more external coat and not from the internal layers of fur.
It is also common in the breed the occurrence of heterochromy, where the same animal has different eye’s color. In the case of the angora, when that happens, usually the blue eye is hitched to some level of blindness, so potential owners must be watchful to the pet’s health.
As long as things are not what they seem, even if the angora looks heavy, great are the chances that they are very lean under the coat, as our Catilda here. Well, spinning like this, enjoying the sufi dance, there's only room for hair fluttering... no fat.
