I haven't come across any reconstructions of the kalligrammatid lacewing Sophogramma lii yet - and while I can hardly claim that this is a scientific reconstruction, I did try to stay true to the fossil specimen ! I chose to depict this pollinator alongside a doodle of Cycadeoidea, a genus of Jurassic seed plant that kalligrammatids may have fed on. Springtime in the Jurassic must have been very beautiful!

I created this piece in Medibang. A tragic accident that merged all my layers together forced me to experiment with the way I add color to my work - I think it still turned out pretty well. Of course, next time I plan to keep my layers separate.

Again, since I draw in a cartoony style, my work by default cannot be scientifically accurate. I also am not a trained paleoartist. That being said, I always strive to do the best work possible in respect to my abilities and the available information.
