Bwaahh x__X Finally I have it DONE!Uruha my love!! XDD
He's so pretty, the guitarist from the Gazette!!
I used a picceh for reference otherwise it would ave come out 100 times worse than this >w> I like how his lips turned out..mmyess Uruha has such pretty curvy lips XD
His nose though..ugh took me FOREVER!! I'm not too happy with his hair but..meh..it looks okay..though I am never doing individual dots again..damn sparkly shirt.. grr
Took a good 8 hours to work on this, but had a lot of fun doing so. Took direct color reference along with looking at deh photo itself. >.>
Now yes he's a pretty pretty man but NO STEALING OF DEH JROCKER OR I SHALL SKIN YOU!!

I really admire people, who can draw drawing for such a long time.. But if it's for Uruha, then I guess it's ok.
The only thing, that doesn't fit in is the nose, but I know means the phrase - ''nose drawing'' DD: I think it's a hard thing to dowith pencils, but when it comes to computer..
Well,it's not like the nose is the only thing in this drawing - I really like the way you drawed his lips too, his hair is amazing, maybe a little bit cartoon-ish because every line on his face is soft, but when we look at hair -.. But it's not that bad as I put it XD I really like how they look. And the outfit.. I think it would take me foroever to draw something like this.
And now, let's end this comment with veeeery original phrases like - 'you did good job!' and 'continue drawing'. :3

*sigh* Yes his nose doesn't look right. I never got it to look right no matter how many times I redrew it. Noses are probably the thing I don't like drawing most on faces. Oh well, practice practice! ^^

8 hours is a record for me, I usually get very impatient with a drawing and take only a couple of hours. Maybe it's best I take small breaks? Oo;

I spend long amounts of time drawing things in short bursts... so I may spend half an hour here and there... I guess my big thing is I'm always returning to make little fixes so it takes me forever to finish anything

That's what usually happens when I actually work on pencil pieces. Those take me the longest ebcause I'm constantly changing and adding little details that don't need ot be there x.x Notice how very few traditional pieces I have... >>

Hmm.. Really nicely done, though i think that his upperlip looks kinda strange, and the nose could be better done, not as.. Well.. Round, circular.. Really can't describe, but overall, this picture really is beautiful!

I took a quick look earlier. I see you have the sexy Reita in there X3 kuhuu. You're really good at realism, I wonder if I could ever reach that level.. *stares wonderously at the sky*

What i think you need to do is add a bit more texture to your art. This very important in any digital work to make it look more life like. To do this add pores to you characters skin by using a scattery brush which is made of lots of little dots. Brush very lightly on low opacity over the skin this will really bring life to your character this was somthink I learnt resently and have tryed to using in my latest digital portraits.
I think the hair is brilliant in this piece and I don't think you need to much to improve in that area.

X3 Thank you so much for the useful tips. I'll be sure to use them in some of my furture portraits if I ever get in the right mood to try again. XD I'll need to make or try to find a scattered brush though. I don't have any on openCanvas...perhaps photoshop will.

For these kind of pictures I draw each strand individually and I try to blend by using various shades. On openCanvas I use the spoon tool and thanks very much ^^

i wouldnt have a clue how to use illustrator, but im guessing you mean like layers and stuff? ive just started using photoshop to draw digital portraits and stuff, so im slowly learning new tricks.
