I'm sorry I've been so lazy about painting but this is turning out to be a rather busy summer. I'm on an epic decluttering and diy mission XD

This is pure watercolours (...ok, I signed it with pencil but that's all)

I had a little off-cut of watercolour paper left over from a card I made for my niece and decided to just have a bit of fun with it and try to use lots of water, not have much of a plan and just go with the flow. Basically do all those things that you're supposed to do with watercolours and not be afraid of mistakes.
On the one hand it was nice to not pressure myself into a certain outcome but on the other hand, this was a weird green blobby mess for most of the process. It only really came together in the end when I put the branches in. I have to admit that I wasn't really comfortable without a drawing to stick to. Hopefully one day I'll be able to find a happy medium between planning a painting and just being spontaneous with it and seeing what happens.

I'm reasonably happy with the outcome seeing as I had no expectations to start with.
