Yeah, you're right! Unfortunately, at this distance, my macro lens only gives me a tiny depth of field, even with the aperture as closed as it was. If I'd had this on a tripod, I could have taken multiple exposures and made a composite, but I didn't think that far ahead! Oh well Thanks for commenting!

Haha true, true. That would have sacrificed detail though, which is what I was going for. I should just get a lighter tripod that I don't hate carrying around

Or a mono-pod at least.

I dont have a macro lens, my super-zoom has macro, so i can get detail of a flower's leaf from 5 feet away, annoying. What kind of camera do you have?

Yeah, my friend raves about mono-pods, I think I might have to look on ebay.

I use a Canon 50D. This was shot using a 50mm macro lens, and I also used an external flash gun to blackout the background. What's your setup?

Pentax k100d. 2 lens'. Im too lazy to move to get them
