I realized something lately regarding art on one of the polls of deviant art. "No great artist ever sees things as they really are. If he did, he would cease to be an artist." -Oscar Wilde. Most of the time drawing I felt like I was focusing on a precise representation of what I was seeing. Frustrating to get the exact shading or color. With the above quote I remembered where the focus should be. There is not so much importance to draw something if you just copy what you see. It's a lot better to have a vision, offer to the viewer an image coming always from how you feel. Therefore I regard this painting as a step further from my previews attempts on landscape.
