While doing a bed check at work, I suddenly felt a breeze by my arm and then something landing on my shoulder. I turned my head and found a brown mass with beady black eyes staring up at me.

Bat--Oh hai, human. Do you mind if I hitch a ride?

Me--

If anyone had been watching, it would have looked as if I were possessed by demons or having a seizure...maybe a combination of both. My screams and movement scared it off. It was trapped in a small corridor, so I ran back downstairs to grab gloves, a bag, and my camera. I snapped some photos of the bat while it was perched on a wreath before snagging it. I'm sure the sight of me trying to catch the damn thing was just as funny as my previous panic attack. The bat wasn't harmed. I released it onto an outside table. It crawled around for a few seconds and then took off into the night.
