I have the first 4 books in that trilogy and in #4 it starts to go really absurd !I am glad that I didn't go any further...

How many books are there in total?

πŸ‘: 0 ⏩: 1

EmmetEarwax In reply to Xemnas-sama [2015-03-06 14:59:57 +0000 UTC]

About 6 or 7, I walked away from it after #4. That the books were contiinued by other authors, is of no interest to me. As I said, it became increasingly and intolerably absurd.

Roxor128 [2008-07-14 06:01:48 +0000 UTC]

Nice picture. It seems the maths check out, too.

For the curious, here's the working and solution to the problem Gadget's solving:

sin(x) +sqrt(2) = -sin(x)
2*sin(x) + sqrt(2) = 0
2*sin(x) = -sqrt(2)
sin(x) = -sqrt(2)/2
x = arcsin(-sqrt(2)/2)
x = arcsin(-0.70710678118654752440084436210485)
x = -45 degrees

Is it really that surprising? I think about things in computing terms, and you use a lot of maths when programming a computer.
