Hey.Last week I got a strange idea about my favourite childhood-cartoon, Talespin. I tried to place the cartoon's visuality long after the origonal sequels' timline, for instance, in the jet era.
It was really fun to mix those oldschool, wacky biplane designs with modern elements, like gasturbines and rockets... I'm tried to made the plane a little bit rubbish, I guess I got the pirate look and feel.
Sorry about the lack of background, but in justice to say, this one's "only" a huge sketch from my dirty sketchbook...
H, HB, 2B, 7B kooh-i-noor pencils. 0.5 mech. pencil loaded with B leads. home made blending stump (or tortillion).

Oh lawd, I remember Talespin! This does an excellent job of recalling the spirit and feel of the original cartoon.
