Jasper! Idk how to feel about her, I think SU forgot about most of its characters for the sake of moving the plot? we were cut short with their development.

Especially her relationship with lapis, after she was yeeted off the ship we never rlly saw the two of them interact again and come to terms with how they hurt each other?? I think it would’ve been interesting to see that.

Also the whole “I vow to your strength” bit was pretty cool, BUT I would’ve loved to see her recognize Stevens emotional strength, not the physical one, like, his ability to change ppl, bring them together, etc.

Jasper has always hated weakness, so she could’ve recognized she was emotionally weak and have a desire to change that. I wouldn’t want her personality to change tho, she could’ve stayed mostly the same but with different goals I guess.

Like, instead of wanting to protect Steven she could’ve vowed to protect what Steven holds dear (lil homeschool, humans, etc) little by little learning and understanding why they’re so important to him... Maybe she could’ve been the one to help Steven in the end? Who knows,,, Anyways she’s a Tibetan mastiff! Those are some huge ass doggos and they’re used to protect sheeps from wolves, leopards, tigers and even bears! So even though they’re dogs they can protect against all those deadly animals, it fitted jasper since even though she’s just a quartz she’s a pretty strong one.

I decided to give her new ears instead of horns to kinda show the aftermath of fusing with a corrupted gem from a different breed and that shes not a pure Tibetan mastiff anymore, she doesn’t care tho, im sure she’s that kind of character that shows their scars with pride.
