more me warming up. this is big boss, of metal gear fame, ~peace walker time (1970s), as is apparent from the msf uniform.in keeping with the peace walker theme, i tried going somewhat in the direction of ashley woods pw art: chunky/messy inks, effecty layers, flat colours. naturally, i don’t draw anywhere close to ash’s level of genius. big boss/naked snake always struck me as a character that comes to life in the quiet moments, being sombre, sitting around, pondering things. thus: rifle against the wall, cigar lit, mate brewing and a cat sneaks out from somewhere.

truth be told: i really didn’t spend that much thought, and blindly adopted a tea/teaspoon kind of gesture without noticing that it doesn’t make a lick of sense with mate. thanks for pointing it out, i really wouldn’t have noticed that blunder otherwise.
