Description
The freezing cold air of Northrend was per usual merciless, biting into Katara's lungs with each breath through her face shield.
"Stay close to me, Liza.. it's still dangerous here."
She said towards her loyal wolven companion, still remembering various campaigns against various foes. From Twillight Cultists to Scourge remnants lead by a Lich.
Katara's little walk away from Crystalsong forest turned into a hiking trip through the mountains. She clearly knew how to move through the snow and so did Liza.
"Just a bit, little one. We will rest at the top of the mountain and return to the warm tavern - I might even get you a nice piece of turkey if you behave."
The wolfess knew exactly what that meant and did as told, remaining calm while stalking up the snowy mountain.
A while after they'd reach the top of the mountain, an astounding view would fill their eyes.
The riverbank they followed lead deep into Crystalsong, right next to the magical tree.
"Woah.. truely magical, don't you think, Liza?"
Her companion didn't mind the height, but also didn't really care about the view. Their exhausted breath would be visable in the air of the nightsky. Kat rested her hand on the fur before eventually patting Liza. The wolfess wiggled with her tail as reaction, merely moments after she did what most likely most wolves would do; howl at the moon.
Hello everyone! I had the absolute pleasure to work on this piece for the wonderful twitter.com/Revael_ . The theme was a Warcraft style Moon tarot artwork, featuring Katara and Liza, the white wolf. I have picked one of my favorite vistas/areas from the game - Crystalsong forest, and enjoyed the whole process immensely. It's also one of the first artworks of mine that utilizes a slightly different process and tools. I hope you like the final piece which appropriately heralds the incoming winter.
