Description
In the North Atlantic Ocean there lies a small, unassuming island not far off the European coast. An insignificant spec on the world’s map, consisting of a clashing mixture of flat, prairie grassland, speckled with various small town and village settlements, that turns into vast mountain ranges with little topographical gradient in between; and further clashing with the abstract geography lays therein a series swampland in the southern glades, largely wild, and untamed by civilization. The only uniting aspect to be found across the obtuse island country is it’s strange obsession with the supernatural and occult, having led to a breed of superstitious citizens that would only further alienate them from the modern world that has since moved beyond such archaic fears. And they call it “Gallowmere”. Yes, changeless, legend-haunted Gallowmere; where imagined monsters stalk the forests, islands, bays, and lagoons, though only in the minds of it’s native people. Where the so-called witches hid in attics from the King’s League in the darkest days of the nation at the height of it’s paranoia. Well, the King’s League is all but gone, whereas the “witches” are still here, and the monsters, and the cultists, and horrors that the people of this land insist exist just beyond the realm of sane comprehension. It is in this land where we find ourselves for this journey, collecting it’s history, and abundance of folklore for posterity. Though one questions the value of the knowledge from the cultural backwood known as Gallowmere.

Happy October everybody. Hope you like the macabre, 'cause this month I'm taking you on a tour of the Bandistein AU. I may not be talented enough to write a full story of my own, but I do love me some world building.
