The title is due to the amazing white (quartz ?) rock in the foreground with the blood red streaks. Shot near Polhawn Fort, Cornwall, UK.Related content

I find the colours of the rock almost alien and disturbing.

The processing is just a little heavy in my opinion, but otherwise its a really excellent shot

Cheers Alex, I tend to agree although the sky part was hardly processed at all, just picked up warm hues from the ND filter but the foreground had to be severely rescued with levels and is pretty grainy. Thanks for your comment and welcome back !

wish i could take pictures like this - it has a nice fairytale kind of feel to it, to me
perfect soft sky with great colour, then the misty appearance of the water which is well done
