Description Another strange object. Physically accurate materials with layered Fresnel reflections. Rendered with PM+FG in 2 hours. The slight grain is made with Photoshop to give the picture an photo-like look.

I really like this!
Was that central shape made in blender?
If so how? I don't see how that's possible

its very easy to do it, you start from a cube , than extrude it , i made it once
just follow the image

Sieht wirklich sehr gut aus. Ich frage mich zwar, ob der "WΓΌrfel" wirklich so stehen bleibt aber was solls

Der Grain ist auch eine feine Idee gewesen!

This is extremely good. The geometric solidity and overall symetry of this image appeals to me. Great rendering quality, the grain really suits this. Classic.

Awesome shape! You really have a good grasp on all the renderers you use.

It's only a cube.

I like it, the only thing I would have done is added a different emit plane, maybe 4 emit planes to simulate a window, or rows of emit plans to simulate fluorescent lighting. Other than that, nice job. Did you model them in the other program or in Blender?

Furumaru In reply to adlm [2007-05-07 12:28:13 +0000 UTC]

1 plane is fast in KT, with 4 planes the rendertime increases a lot. Modelling was done in Blender then exported to KT. All materials have 2 layers with physically accurate fresnel weighting. The materials was created directly in KT.

It may increase render time, but it also makes the piece look better. I wouldn't sacrifice anything unless it wouldn't hurt the piece. My last render took 27 hours and I didn't stop it and change the lighting so it would render faster.
