At this lake there's a little wooden fenced platform with a bench on it. A lot of people must feed the swans and ducks with bread from there - as soon as I walked on to the platform the swan family noticed me and drifted over. I was right next to the fence with the camera, and the male swan was calmly floating just the other side watching me in case I had bread.

As I was lugging a camera and bag of lenses I had no room for bread

I took some bread when I went back to see them today - even had one of the youngsters take a couple of bits of offered bread from my hand (at great risk to my fingers - they have seriously solid beaks!)
