Victorious, the valiant Red Sonja quickly cleaned up her sword from the spilled blood of the Fire Dragon she had just slained, before its steel could rettain any sort of damage. The beast was killed with a single, quick thrust into its weak spot, but one always has to be cautious. The blood of a Fire Dragon is said to possess a certain amount of corrosive power, so it is always better to clean up your weapons as fast as possible, after using them on one of these creatures.

The blood of each race of Dragon possess different physical (or even magical) qualities. The blood of Swamp Dragons, for example, has an extremely poisonous toxin, capable of killing an ox-sized beast in matter of minutes. Hence, the species has been ruthlessly hunted by the local warlords searching to power up the arrows and daggers of their armies, to the point that only a handful of these creatures remains alive, hidden in the deepest caves and swamps of the Hyrkanian lands.

It is also known that the blood of Earth Dragons has powerful magical qualities, rather than physical proporties. Its consumption is said to increase a warrior´s spiritual affinity with magic and nature, allowing him to cast powerful nature-related spells against his foes. On the other hand, Frost Dragons are extremely difficult to find, since they only dwell in the northern regions of the world, so the exact properties of their blood is not known yet by Hyrkanian men of Science and Alchemy.

And the legendary status of the "Dark Dragons", the so-called Dragon form of certain Demons, have never been even confirmed to exist... hence, they remain a legend among the legends of the very few people that claims to have seen one, and lived to tell the tale...
